One of our clients came to us with a startup idea of building a Classified Ads platform initially launching in UAE. Engaging with early stage startups is an important aspect of WISDOM’s holistic open innovation approach to remain agile and resilient in today’s global marketplace.

About The Project

Project Overview

The foremost goal of developing deellz was to provide the customers with a platform to add listings of their furniture for selling and to facilitate the customers with different business packages to boost their products on top and to feature their products to engage more buyers. The idea was initially based on some classified platforms.

Packages

The main feature was to provide the users with some packages to boost and to feature their posts.

By buying a boost package the user gets the facility to boost his listing for specific days on the top.
By featured package, the user will get the facility to be shown separately highlighted in the featured section and also before the simple posts.
These packages are for businesses.
For a single post, the user may post it for free, may boost or feature it.

Listings

Creating a listing is the key feature of deellz.
User is facilitated to sell his products under the selection of specific categories and the selection of package (if needed).
May upload the post for free too.

Hot deellz

It is a feature that is introduced in deellz. Hot deellz shows all the boosted and featured listings respectively.

Dynamic Search

Deellz facilitate the customers with the dynamic search of the required product according to their search by categories, location or products.

Challenges:

Jumping into the UAE market with some giants already dominating the classified market, the goal was to find the gap and cover it with something unique that attracts users from other basic classified ads platform. If we can see other platforms, their monetization was dependent on the subscription packages that they offer and the revenues from different ads that they generate. So, building something different in this space was very challenging as a digital solution provider.

Solution:

We implemented Ad boosters for the posting, which clears the gap in a very good way because mostly the platforms that are already there in the market have subscription packages that the user can buy. These subscription packages work very well for vendors or someone who posts in bulk but there was no option to boost or make your single Ad featured. We provided the same in this platform where users can pay to boost his/her single post and don’t have to buy a whole subscription package. Admin has the manageability to create both Ad booster packages that work with single Ads and also subscription packages. Some important points are mentioned below:
